"It does, but it's not."
"But--wait, how can you be sure? Shouldn't we--"
"Because it's coming from a tree. The Youheasea doesn't walk in trees. Just ignore it and keep moving."



Just a quick, totally non-cannon sketch from the Legacy-Verse. I felt I needed to draw something where the Alaereen were the ones facing something exotic and unexpected, and this is what came out....


From what I've read, the United Earth Confederation (UEC) seems like it's run by a bunch of kill-the-alien pure-humanity hard-cases. Not the kind of guys who'd embrase radical genetic engineering. But I'd imagine that every so often they'd catch and eliminate some Doctor Moreau-wannabe, and they'd have to do something with the mad doc's twisted no-longer-human experiments, and putting them in some black-ops military unit on a distant planet seems like as useful an option as any.
