Before being posted to the Alaerin Embassay, Leiutenant Dale Orbistone was warned that--besides being much larger than Humans--the aliens he was about to meet had a very different culture than he did. And that many things that a Human might consider forward or promiscuous are simply mundane inneractions to an Alaereen. He was also told that there had not been an Alaereen male since before the dawn of relieably-recorded history. In short, he was advised to ignore any suggestive behavior, because he would probably be misinterpreting the alien's intent.

Alas, not long after he arrived, two of the embassy clerks actually did try to flirt with him, (In order to relieve centuries worth of built-up frustration, one might imagine) and ignoring thier advances was....rather difficult.
